Turn 2 Foundation
Just recently in 2007, Steiner Sports presented a check to Derek Jeter’s Turn 2 Foundation for the amount of $250,000. The foundation’s goal is to support and create programs and activities that motivate youth to choose healthy lifestyles and "turn away" from substances such as drugs and alcohol. Steiner Sports also believes in this philosophy, and through their donation, hopes to positively impact thousands of today’s youth.
Steiner Sports continues to raise money for the Turn 2 Foundation with the help of Derek Jeter and the entire Jeter family. The Turn 2 Foundation is one of Steiner Sports’ favorite charities, and Steiner will continue to raise money to support Turn 2.

The Jerome Wagner Youth Residence for Boys
Steiner Sports has teamed up with Family Services of Westchester to renovate a home in White Plains with the purpose to convert it into The Jerome Wagner Youth Residence for Boys. The home will house, educate and mentor several teenage boys who have no place to call home. Additionally, the program will provide the boys with internship and employment opportunities in order to prepare them for their futures. There is much work that needs to be done before the boys can move into the house and before the program can take flight.

Hillside Food Outreach
Summer is such a wonderful time to just "kick back" and enjoy life. As summer of 2006 is at the halfway mark, I am such that most of use have either enjoyed or are looking forward to your summer vacation with your friends and family.
However, that is a very difficult thing to do when providing for yourself and your family is a daily struggle. The summer months are even more difficult for families with children. There is no school breakfast or lunch to help feed their children and in some cases expenses increase as workign parents must find alternate child care, as school is out for the summer.
Hunger and poverty do exist in Westchester County - it cannot be ignored or dismissed.
HUNGER DOES NOT TAKE A VACATION
Won't you please help our neighbors in Westchester. Your financial support will enable us to provide bags of groceries to help over 1500 neighbors in need across our country. We need your support. Won't you please make a tax deductable contribution, in any amount, to help us fight hunger in our communities.
For more information on how to donate please visit www.hillsidefoodoutreach.org or call (914) 747-0095.

The Twin Tower Fund
Brandon often uses his unique memorabilia and relationships to help the greater community. After September 11th, there was a photograph taken of Joe Torre and Mayor Giuliani at the site of Ground Zero.
Both Torre and Giuliani were generous enough to sign many of these photographs. For each photograph that was sold, a portion of the proceeds went to the Twin Tower Fund.
As of now, approximately $300,000 was raised for the Twin Tower Fund. Click here to purchase your own copy of the photograph and support those who still suffer from the tragedy of September 11th. |

PS 55
Brandon always tries to find time in his busy schedule to give back to the community. He believes that his work and his success can be an inspiration to young people. Therefore, Brandon likes to speak at local schools to tell them about his struggles and successes. In the past, Brandon has spoken at colleges and high schools, but recently he has begun speaking at elementary schools as well. On June 23 Brandon spoke at Public School 55. Brandon’s visit was a great success. The kids loved the discussion and the parents were grateful for his time. Please click here to find out more information about how Brandon can speak at your next function. |

Sussex Sports Camp
Since 1923, Camp Sussex has transformed the lives of children by providing the opportunity for children of limited financial means to leave the city during the summer to experience a traditional summer camp environment. Located in the lush mountains of northwest New Jersey, Camp Sussex helps children gain interpersonal social skills such as tolerance, cooperation, and self-reliance as they explore their creativity in the Camp’s safe and nurturing environment. Camp Sussex’s consistent commitment to creating an atmosphere of positive encouragement and personal attention has inspired a climate of loyalty among generations of Camp Sussex campers and staff, motivating those touched by the Camp to stay involved and give back to campers of the present day.
After 80 consecutive summers, Camp Sussex was forced to temporarily suspend its summer sessions for 2006. This decision did not come lightly, but due to the lack of funding and donations, it was impossible to provide the campers with appropriate accommodations and thriving programming.
Brandon Steiner is tremendously committed to rebuilding Camp Sussex not only because he believes in its mission but because he was once a camper there himself. He thanks Sussex for helping mold him into the man he is today. Without Camp Sussex, he doesn’t know if he would be thriving in one of the largest industries in the world.
Camp Sussex needs your help. The goal is to raise enough money in order to re-implement sessions in 2007. Camp Sussex has positively influenced thousands of children over the years. Unfortunately, this year approximately 600 children will not be able to reap the benefits that Camp Sussex can provide. If you would like to donate to Camp Sussex, please contact Mike at mdietz@steinersports.com.
