GIULIANI AND TORRE TEAM UP WITH STEINER SPORTS
TO BENEFIT THE TWIN TOWERS FUND
Rudy Giuliani and Joe Torre set to sign collectibles to raise money for families of September 11th Victims
New York, NY (June 5, 2002) - Steiner Sports Marketing and the Twin Towers Fund announced today that former New York City Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, Chairman of the Board of the Twin Towers Fund and New York Yankees Manager Joe Torre will sign a limited number of commemorative memorabilia to raise funds that will provide financial assistance to 436 families (including 789 children) of rescue workers who perished on September 11.
"I want to thank Joe Torre for once again stepping up to the plate to help the families of our fallen heroes, " said Giuliani. "With the expertise of Steiner Sports, I am sure this project will raise significant funds to benefit the families of those rescue workers who made the ultimate sacrifice in our fight for freedom."
Giuliani and Torre will be signing a total of 2,911 items which will only be available for sale on www.steinersports.com or at 1-800-759-SCOR(7267). The signed baseball will be sold for $300 while the 16x20 signed photograph will be sold for $400. All proceeds beyond the hard cost of the baseballs and photos will be donated to the fund. Major League Baseball will have a representative on hand to authenticate the process.

In addition to the announcement with Steiner Sports, the Twin Towers Fund announced today that it it has just completed a new round of disbursements, totaling more than $103 million. This new payout brings the total amount of money distributed by the fund to over $155 million.

Former NYC Mayor Giuliani established the Twin Towers Fund to ensure that the generous outpouring of support for the families of our uniformed services heroes affected by the disaster are coordinated, responsive, responsible and accountable. The purpose of the Twin Towers Fund is to assist, support, and recognize the families of the members of the uniformed services of the New York City Fire Department and its Emergency Medical Services Command, the New York City Police Department, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York State Office of Court Administration and other government offices who lost their lives or were seriously injured during the September 11th World Trade Center attack.
