SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that sports business and collectibles expert Brandon Steiner, CEO of Steiner Sports, will host a new weekly talk show exclusively on SIRIUS that will examine the fast-paced and ever-changing world of sports business and guide sports fans and collectors through the collectibles market.
Steiner Sports on SIRIUS will debut Monday, April 16 (6-9pm ET) and air Mondays throughout the year exclusively on SIRIUS' all-sports talk channel, SIRIUS Sports Action // 123. On the three-hour program, which will be co-hosted by regular SIRIUS host Andrew Bogusch, listeners will be able to call in and participate in weekly discussions on sports business and marketing and get insight and tips on sports memorabilia and collectibles. Steiner, who has worked with some of sport's biggest superstars over the years, will conduct interviews with a myriad of athletes and coaches from today and yesteryear as well as league officials and agents.
"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to do this show live and nationwide on SIRIUS," said Steiner. "We will cover business topics like contract negotiations, free agency, endorsements and merchandise deals as well as relevant sports topics such as college recruiting and the pitfalls many athletes face in their post-playing career. The show will also include a historical perspective, looking back on sport's greatest moments, players and teams. Plus, we'll discuss all sorts of collectible items and their current values."
