A Leader is Really a Performance Coach

 

Here’s what a leader is not: someone that does everything better than everyone else.

Here’s what a leader is: someone that has an understanding of how to push everyone to be successful.

I had the privilege of bringing in the great Ken Blanchard—a management master—to come to Steiner Sports for special learning session about the very subject.

As he notes, a leader is a performance coach and someone to help in creating achievable, tangible goals so that an organization can prosper.
