Follow-Through on Your Commitments

Always follow through on your commitments. Today I'll be sharing my own personal story about how I burned tomato soup—a lot of it—and learned why it's important to follow through on a commitment. When you make a promise to do something, always make it a point to produce what you say regardless of whether or not it's convenient.

Whether its business or personal, it's essential to deliver according to people's expectations because if you don't, you risk losing trust. When you lose someone’s trust, they cannot depend on you for anything anymore. That’s not a situation you want to be in.
