A Few Things To Consider Entering 2019

It's about to be the New Year, and many people are thinking about the big changes and resolutions they're going to try to live up to in 2019.

Well, I always say that "change is inevitable... except from a vending machine." Here are a few things I encourage you to think about going into the new year. You may recognize some of these from my book "You Gotta Have Balls". If you haven't read that yet, well, that's on you (buy a copy here).

1 - Micro changes bring micro results. Don't be afraid to make the big change if you want big results.

2 - How's your marriage? The most important thing for people to realize if they're happy or not is who they're married to!

And I'm not just talking about your spouse, either. Are you married to the right job? Are you happy with the company you work for and spend most of your time at? Are you pursuing the right career altogether?

So, I ask you... are you happy with your marriage(s)?

3 - Are you stuck on stupid (S.O.S.)? Are you working on an idea that you've been grinding with for a long time? Perhaps you are, and you're not giving up, and you're putting everything you have into it.

Maybe your idea just sucks and isn't as good as you thought.

Don't be stuck on stupid. Move forward. Sometimes, being a good quitter is necessary and the beginning of the year is a great time to say "out with the old, and in with the new".

4 - Don't go on a diet to lose weight. Make a lifestyle change to gain health. You can't outwork bad nutrition.

FYI: Stress is fattening. If you're less stressed, you will be healthier and probably lose weight. Stop eating shit, like fast food, muffins, bagels, anything fried, etc. Cut down on sugar!

Revoke the speaking and voting rights of that little voice in your head that tells you that you want ice cream and all that other shit. I revoked those privileges and fired "little Brandon" several years ago, and that was the best decision I ever made.

5 - Make the most important thing the most important thing! Do the most important things and the best things for the most important people every day.

6 - Do as much as you can for as many people as you can as often as you can, and expect nothing back. Stop keeping score!

7 - Shift your focus. We all want to do well, and then figure that eventually we will do good. We will make that charitable donation or get home early to have catch with our kids when we're doing well.

This is just wrong. Reverse and pivot ASAP. Start focusing on doing more good, because the byproduct of doing good is doing well. When you do good, you get back even more good in return, even when it's not a line item.

8 - You can't drive a 9,990 lb. truck over a 10,000 lb. bridge and expect things to work out. Get your relationship with time under control and stop over-booking and over-scheduling yourself to the point where you get home and can't remember where you were and what the hell you did all day. I can go on and on with this idea. You know who you are.

9 - The most unused button on your remote is the pause button. Make sure you have some time dedicated each day to slow things down. Start your day off thinking, like I do. It's the best! It will give you time to follow up with your thoughts and people.

10 - The focus for the new year doesn't always have to be to meet more people, networking, finding new clients and businesses, etc. How about instead, you take the time to get to know the people you already know! It's not who you know or what you know, it's what you know about who!

Take a minute and introduce or reintroduce yourself to your boss/teammate/neighbor. Pay a visit to an old friend, neighbor, or client you haven't seen in a while.

Oh, and one more thing. Leave your damn cell phone at home on date night. Concentrate on your significant other, and catch up without any interruptions.

What are you hoping to accomplish this year? Don’t even get me started on “New Year’s Resolutions” because I don’t believe in them. You should be making a commitment to accomplish the things you want to accomplish every day.

I hope you got some helpful tips and advice out of this blog and can use them to build a better you in 2019.

  • Hello, my name is Rachel Frye and I want to give this testimony in respect of Dr. Odunga who made me win $2 Million Dollars in the Lottery by matching the 5 numbers for me. I am happy to be out of financial debt and be able to help my family in this seasonal period of fun and cheer. I contacted Dr. Odunga through Whats-App (+2348167159012) when I told him to help me win the Mega Millions and He told me that it would be spiritually checked if I will win the Lottery. When he informed me that I will not be able to win the Jackpot but I will win a huge amount in the lottery I was not completely sad but had great faith in him. I live in Freeland, Saginaw County, Michigan and I would say it was pretty hard to send him the money for the spell before he gave me the winning numbers to play. He sent me the numbers and I played. The next morning after the drawing, I matched the five white balls in the Aug. 4 drawing to win $1 million: 11-30-45-52-56. Thanks to the Megaplier X2, my prize was multiplied to $2 million. Thank You Dr Odunga for this wonderful experience with you. You too can contact Dr. Odunga at his Whats-App +2348167159012 or Email: odungaspelltemple@gmail.com
