Jack Mitchell, author of the bestselling customer service book Hug Your Customers, recently described to the Steiner Sports staff the importance of a surprise hug; the opportunity businesses have to wow their customers in ways that are unconventional, seemingly impossible, and elicit reactions like, “Who does that?”
